Mow or bush hog first
The roller lifts loose goat heads, sand spurs, and grass burrs that are already on the ground. It will not pull green burrs still attached to the plant, so cut first and let the seed drop.

Hitch to anything with a standard hitch point
ATV, UTV, riding mower, lawn tractor, or compact tractor. The 4-foot frame tows behind all of them.

Tow at a slow crawl, overlap your passes
The high-density foam roller works at walking speed, not driving speed. Dense infestations take several slow, overlapping passes rather than one.

Dump the catch system and keep going
Burrs collect in the tray as you drive. Empty it as it fills for the best pickup on the next pass. A single puncturevine plant can drop up to 5,000 seeds in one season, and that seed stays viable in soil for up to five years, so what you take out now is seed that never gets its chance.

What can I tow it with?
An ATV, UTV, riding mower, lawn tractor, or compact tractor. Anything with a standard hitch point. Drive at a slow crawl for maximum pickup.
Does it pick up goat heads in pasture grass?
Yes, once they have dropped to the ground. Goat heads (puncturevine), sand spurs, and grass burrs are what it is built for. Mow or bush hog first. Dense infestations take multiple slow, overlapping passes.
Original or BIGFOOT?
The Original runs a 6 inch diameter foam roller and is the proven standard for an acre or more. BIGFOOT is the same frame with a 10 inch roller, so it holds more burrs every revolution. If you measure your burr problem in multiple acres, step up to BIGFOOT.
Should I get the complete kit?
The foam roller and conveyer screens are wear parts. The kit is the same roller plus a pitchfork blade attachment (it attaches to a pitchfork, which is not included), 6 spare screens and 3 spare rollers, which is a full season of replacements without a second order or a second shipping charge. If you only want the machine, the roller on its own is the right choice.
